''Balance'' - Body & Mind Summer Club 2019
As the mind affects the body the body affects the mind.
This is the motto for our summer programme ''Balance''. We are excited to announce that we will be running these Balance groups in a few different areas throughout Derry/Londonderry, Omagh and Fermanagh.
We aim to improve young people’s physical and mental well being through a series of workshops and activities. Disciplines such as yoga and personal training along with practices like mindful meditation, relaxation classes and stress and anxiety workshops will all be utilised to improve upon one's well-being.
Alongside these workshops, participants will have the opportunity to try many different activities throughout the summer of 2019. There have been a lot of suggestions from our young members and these are just some of the activities that could feature.
Mindfulness Art and Crafts such as pottery
Game and Cinema Nights
Sailing and boat trip experience
Day trips to W5 in Belfast, Portrush
Activity Day at The Jungle N.I
The Balance groups will also come together to decide on choosing a social action that they will plan and carry out as a peer group. Summer 2019 is shaping up to be a very exciting time for Access for Success members.
